Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Was going to ask if this is on Vancouver Island but this could be anywhere (even SFU trails).

Vedder Mountain mtb trails, near Chilliwack.
The truck is down a single-track trail. Don't know if it was accidental or stolen and dumped. It is burned out.
The second shot is the same place on a trail called Sunnyside up. Its on trailforks.

Wanted to see if I could get up this steep cobbled climb on my IRO. The answer was yes, but not on the bike.

Interesting there is a cobbled road there, you wouldn't expect that.

There's some weird old time capsule stuff like this in Philly that just hasn't been touched for years and years. It's a little road that gets almost no traffic these days, so the cobbles have stuck around.

Out on our local trail yesterday afternoon, trying out a set of aerobars on my " forever being upgraded" Wabi Lightning.

Cool weather, real windy on the return (East) trip. Aerobars seem to add some speed into the wind, a little twitchy at times, hurts my neck looking up after a few miles.

I know, the bars are uneven, I had been making adjustments for the last 15 miles.

Blocked my calendar Friday morning to cruise Jedidiah Smith Memorial Trail with a buddy. 30 minutes out, smoke a joint, another 30 minutes, finish the joint, then blast back in 30 minutes at all out burn - Sacramento has some absolutely spectacular river trails, A++ would recommend.
