2020 specialized allez sprint track

Built this up over the summer, super fun to ride
took a little while to source the parts due to everything going on. Thanks BF for the search feature as I researched a lot of various things before the build.
Best sled ever!!

Nice...though the Di2 Levers are throwing me off a bit.

Good choice on cranks, now just need that Izumi Super Toughness chain and get a little gold bling on that thing.

thanks everyone for the compliments. I went with di2 to save weight, mechanical shifters allegedly weigh more. I could probably try to remove the other lever but I’m not going to.
parts as follows

• specialized toupe carbon rail saddle
• specialized shallow bend alloy bar and stem
• dura ace di2 shifters
• dura ace brake
• supacaz bar tape
• sugino dd2 crank 165
• did njs stainless chain
• LB ar56 with philwood track hubs high flange
single fixed, sapim cx ray spokes brass nipples
• philwood cog and lock ring
• dura ace pedal
• gp5000 25c tubeless setup

The bike was fun to build as there was not much to it haha

Did you look into single speed levers? I'm not a gram counter but I feel like some could wind up being a bit lighter due to not having the shifty bits.

No I did not, but now that you mention it I looked up a couple

sram s500 : 264g advertised weight

tektro levers : 320g advertised weight

trp drillium levers : 280g advertised weight

shimano dura ace di2 : 230g advertised weight

So you want me to go heavier and spend more money? Hahahah
im good with the boat anchors that I have 😜

you got me there, the wheels are definitely heavy
i like Phil’s motto “ keep it simple build it strong make it work”
I chose the parts I did not for a weight weenie contest but for comfort, reliability, safety.
I could have pitched brake, bar tape, levers bottle cage and saved all kinds of weight but I didn’t build the bike for that.

cheers
