When you get that post in, there's a "What's it Worth?" subforum just for that sort of question. It's here.

I would trade this frame for a high quality sport touring frame from the early 70s; perhaps a Raleigh International. I am not racy enough for this one.

What do you have and what size are you looking for?

I’m actually looking for a local deal so as not to ship as that scares me a bit. I may post in sales section in eventually. Something that fits 35s would be great, but I have a full 531 vintage Trek now. The early Raleigh International did look interesting though.

Not so much a matter as the size doesn't fit me (the Passage is just about dead-on perfect with regard to geometry), as it is that the frames don't fit my aspirations for future builds. I do also have these posted in ISO and Trades, but putting here also.

I'm showing two frames here.

1.) 1986 Centurion Elite RS 22" ctc with a 22-1/2" top tube. Tange 2 tubing. Includes the Tange Falcon Headset. The seat post is 26.8mm. The front dropouts are 100mm and the rear are 126mm. Intended for 700c wheels.
I picked this up locally. It is completely sound and straight with no signs of damage. There are small cosmetic issues in places where that commonly occurs, but overall, it's in quite good shape.

2.) 1996 Schwinn Passage 21" ctc with a 22" top tube. Frame has butted ChroMo tubing. Includes bottom bracket and headset. I am uncertain of what brands. The seat post is 26.2mm. The front Dropouts are 100mm and the rear are 130mm.
Also intended for 700c wheels. It is also sound, straight and with no signs of damage. Again, small cosmetic issues, but very easy to overlook them with the gorgeous color. This is missing the seatpost clamp however.

What I'm looking for? Hoping for a European-style city or randonneuse frame. 1950 - 1965 would really make me happy. 53 - 55cm seat tube. Could go to 57 if the frame is meant for 650B. Would also consider a true, steel touring frame in the 53 - 55 cm range. Would not be interested in MTBs or hybrids. The more brazed on fittings, the better. Cosmetics would not be a deterrent, nor would a small ding or two. Willing to part with both for something I like.

A couple pictures follow. The links above are to Flickr albums with a rather comprehensive set of pictures.

I've got a 25" Cannondale st frame. This is waaay too big for me and I'm looking for something in the 54cm/21" range. I don't have anything really specific in mind, but am happy to hear what you've got!

This bike came in and it needs a new owner. I am not looking for any item as I already have five vintage bikes in the right size for me. I do however want the space back in my shop. PM me if interested and it will likely be cost of shipping to you. I also will tear it apart should you only want the frame. Smiles, MH Pics:

Raleigh racing USA tall person bike. Mostly complete and seat post is not stuck.

Size from center of BB Chrome and white paint with a bit of pearl appearance.

Drive train is Suntour and wheels are seven speed with 700c Araya rims

Reasonable tubing set, but nothing super light or special.

PX-10 (or C'dale T900) for (larger) PX-10...

Looking for a 62-64cm, ’72-or-earlier PX-10 frame. If the finish is decent, preference is for blue, but I’m not fixated, and terrible finish needing a repaint is fine, too (as long as the frame is sound). What I’ve got to trade- a ’72 blue PX-10 frame (currently built up..), 58cm c-c, some patina, but overall nice shape. Rear spread to 126, derailleur hanger unmolested, fender eyelets tapped to M8. A ’69 white PX-10, 58cm c-c, terrible paint, good chrome, that I’ve started stripping. 120 rear spacing, tapped derailleur hanger with a slight ‘bevel’ modification that I think is to accommodate a Campy Rally. And finally a ’97 Cannondale T900 frame, blue, 56 c-c (I think they called this a 23” and measured to the top of the tube…), paint chips here and there, but not terrible. Straight trade with similar condition, or +/- $$, whatever- what ya got?

the blue '72 PX-10

The white '69 PX-10

The '87 C'dale T900

MH, if this is still available, let me know. I can put it to use. Do you think it will fit 28mm tires? Thank you!

I got to spend this afternoon "noodle-ing around" and next is creating the box for shipping.

I think it is ready for boxing. Tim and I should be able to find the right shipper as soon as it is boxed and measured up for the shipping company. Finally closer to getting this one on the way to Tim. Smiles, MH

Closer to 8" thick will get you a better price for shipping.

Men's suit boxes from the local haberdashery fit pool noodled frames as if they were tailor made.

I'll run with that pun! Great Idea I may have to look into it. I currently have a bike box that I can cut down to a very close fit for this tall bike frame. I think I can hide all of the small parts in a box within the frame spaces. Smiles, MH

Raleigh fits nicely in the box. Size 29h X 39l X 8w. About twenty four pounds so far.

The other end of the box. Some room for a few other bits if Tim wants anything else.

Have a 54cm Bridgestone 450, blue frame with fork and basic extras (headset, bb, etc.)

SB link: https://www.sheldonbrown.com/bridges...ne-1987-24.htm

will upload real pics in a bit when I have a moment.

interested in trading for something else in the 53-55cm CTT range.

based in LA.

pics via Imgur: https://imgur.com/a/5Z1Veoz

Bike is well-loved with a light patina, but nothing terrible for a 36-year-old bike!

3 frames: 54.5cm Masi 3V, 54cm giant cadex cfr2, 60cm trek 660s

I've got three fames right now that I don't need. Will trade together or separately. Plenty more pictures available upon request. Located in DC area but open to shipping if needed.

1. Early Italian Masi 3v. I think this is a Masi 56, but they measured center to top of seat tube, so the center to center measurement I got was 54.5cm. this bike has been repainted and decals were not applied on the repaint. Currently set up with Campy Mirage 8s. I could trade as a complete, but am just as happy to trade just the frame and fork, or frame/fork/headset/bb.
2. 54cm Giant Cadex cfr2. Early lugged carbon frame. Also have the frame mount for the front derailleur.
3. 60cm trek 660s. This frame is very, very good shape. The pictures are a little grimy but that's all that is - grime. I can clear a lug to show you how nice it will clean up if you'd like. I plan to remove the drivetrain from this bike, but would be happy to trade either frame/fork/headset, or the complete bike minus the drivetrain.

I'm looking for bikes or frames in the 58cm-60cm range. Particularly touring models. Could also be open to something newer or designed for gravel. Not as interested in lower quality bikes, so the higher the quality the better, even if it means I have to trade multiple frames or include some cash. Also generally interested in campy 9 speed parts.

Last Friday I was asked to help with the excess materials at the Co-Op, and out of the things being sent out for recycling were these three items. If anyone wants them they are free for the cost of shipping. PM me, smiles, MH

Mountain bike Rock Shox steering tube is 5" threaded oversized. And a pair of I think French atom pedals. The dust caps are intact and they could likely be rebuilt.

Also a 24"center to top Peugeot. Chrome socks on fork and some patina.

The frame appears to have been issued as a five speed, since there is only the right side braze on for shifter. I am not keeping it but thought I would offer it to anyone interested, before the scrap yard gets it.

I can't tell for sure, but that looks like a Simplex proprietary shifter boss. I wonder if the bike would have originally come with a Simplex Competition shifter (aka "suicide")? My mid-50s Automoto has a similar setup.
