Can anyone recommend a good DSLR handlebar bag?

New bike, my old bag is probably at least 40 years old and falling apart. My current bag is a good size, about 10L x 5.5W x 7 Deep. I've started looking around and there are tons available so I wondered if anyone has personal experience with a particular one. The bike is a Trek FX2. Shown is the "antique" bag on the old bike.

I use a Ortlieb Ultimate 6 (7L) with a camera insert. I’ve been using one since 2003 and have about 10,000 miles of touring on it. It’s water proof with a nice magnetic closure which is super secure. I’ve even tested it in several driving rains without any leaks or damage to the camera.

I'm a generation behind Stuart, but same good luck with my Ultimate 5. Although I carry a bunch of other stuff in my bag, but it's not hard to make a hole to fit the lens and lay it on top of everything else. Extra lens takes another hole is spare gloves, etc. Of course a 600 mm lens would be a problem.

My wife, our two daughters and me. We all have used Ortlieb bar bags for a number of years. My wife and I have carried our Sony mirorless cameras in our bar bags while doing 22,000 miles of touring. They really are waterproof, durable, and have plenty of room for a DSLR. I carry my Sony a6000 with a 135 mm zoom, sun glasses, wallet, passport, extra camera batteries, cell phone, and some smaller misc items without any problem.

I made these padded inserts for the cameras. We carry a backup camera wrapped in clothing inside a pannier.

It's my dog stick. In my lifetime of riding, I've only needed it a few times but the times I didn't have it and needed it, I regretted it.

I wondered when someone would ask about that. Anyone else carry one?

Thanks...mine is being shipped today! My old bag lasted about 40 years with increasing amounts of care & repairs.
