Yeah I raced against BYR. Its just a coincidence that our bike looks like theirs. We raced against them in 03 in that stupid tandem foldy bike and then in 04 in the trike at the bottom, the top one is our 05 trike. This year we are racing as a different team but me and my brother will still be building the trike. This year we should be able to afford things like brakes and stuff. The 05 trike was mostly built from stuff at the local dump. We used street sign poles for the main chassis This year we might be able to use chromoly.

Wow. Thats a huge evolution from the 04 bluebird design to the 05 version. Awesome, looks very stable . I sure I'm gonna see u there later this year, at Murry Bridge.

Im currently building a trike for Wonthaggi 24hr . Our team is "Spare-Change Racing" because we're so poor. The trike itself is called "The Hoff". Ive got 24 days to make it. Up until yesterday, all i had was a mainframe. Just attached the carbon fibre seat and the the drivetrain is ready to b mounted. Getting some steering components made by BYR too, so i know they'll b good . Hoping to build a full corflute canopy (bar polycarb' windscreen of course).
BYR r also competing at Wonthaggi and r hoping to break the distance record there . Their 03 has been totally revised, with 16" front and rears ( ) and is said to hav lost no speed...at least. 04 will b there too and both trikes hav a new nose-cone design and 03 gets a 50/50 carbon/aramid canopy. Im gonna train with them on Friday night so Im waiting to b surprised.

I might post some pics of "The Hoff's' progress in the next couple of days

My first bent, an EZ-1 Super Cruzer. Got it a few months ago and I can't go back to my df bike.
Got a good deal used(like new) from an older man who decided he needs a trike. Even though this is a beginner bike I plan on keeping it.Nice ride (don't need speed)got my stuff on it...it's all I need.
Went 17 miles today, enjoyed the scenery, great weather......effortless and enjoyable. Here are a few pics.

My Giro 20. I've had it a couple weeks and have put about 100 miles on it. I look forward to using it as a moderately loaded touring bike. I'll still use my Trek 520 as a commuter, but I like the more relaxed ride of this recumbent.

Here's the bike I ride most now, designed and built by me.

It's a really fun bike, and is a beast climbing hills.

Yay! Im racing in Bendigo Youth Racing at the Murry Bridge International Pedal Prix! Got word today that they were very impressed by my riding and the quality of "The Hoff", under the circumstances. So, Im in. Im in argubly the best team in the last couple of years- they hold most of the records at each race, and have never been beaten. Im quite happy right now

Three Wheel-Recumbent Conversion

While visting the local discount store I ran across a old three wheeler and remember seeing somewhere plans to make a recumbent. Does anyone know of such plans or have a design ideas to make a decent trike or lowrider. The bike it's self is pretty heavy, took two of us to put into the back of the truck. I am not sure if I want to make a tadpole or delta or lowrider. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Also would it be possible to use the front section( as it can be removed with two bolts ) as a lowrider, and somehow attach a rear end to it. I am look for some way to make a recumbent out of it.

Meet Skippy, my new mascot:

I was on the lookout for a new mascot for my tourer, and I found Skippy on the road today. I mounted it on the bike this afternoon and went riding : he made little kids laugh, so he passes the test and will be coming with me on my tour this summer.

Here is a pic of my bike! I just installed the mirror and flags and lock holder... Ok, not too exciting I admit, but this is the first bike I have purchased in 41 years of living...

I just picked up my Speedster SX this week, and am totally jazzed! Took her for a spin of a couple of miles and could feel the need to develop my bent legs, but am very happy with her perfomance. I wanted a SWB with ASS and could only spend around $600, and for the price ($519) I feel I got my money's worth.

Already buying a few accessories -- 100psi tires, comp, ect. My goal, after a week or so of getting used to her is to begin commuting to work (36 miles RT), alternating between driving and riding one way for the first month or two.

Really looking forward to my Shimano sandals coming from REI...

I have a 2005 SUN Tadpole SX, ever so slightly modified. I've put around 230 miles on it, doing the local 10Mi loop. Best thing ever for exercise! (The steering is changed from below to above frame)
[attatched photo]
Thius is my first recumbent. I'll never ride another 'fence post' bike again.

Somehow, it looks like you are using it as a "recliner". LOL ... But, maybe it's more comfortable.
