Empire Trail from Crown Point to Troy, NY

Anyone here done that section? I am contemplating to do out and back this Fri,Sat,Sun. I have done it from the Canadian border to Crown Point and also done Buffalo to NYC so this section is partly my OCD ;-)

Pretty hilly southbound .Just finished from Rensselaer to R, Point. Conditions run from good to gravel in places with some high speed traffic, Near Schuylerville take County Road 113 back to Stillwater
113 is a good quiet road. to Rt 4 to Mechanicville to stone dust trail to waterford, From Waterford quiet roads and onto the Mohawk Hudson and the cross to Troy

Is the 'trail' well marked like the trail from Albany to NYC?

This section is mostly on roads. I've never ridden it but I've driven through the area a bunch of times while visiting friends in Ticonderoga. It's just the standard rural two lane, not really a "trail".

Check out https://empiretrail.ny.gov/ (look for the Champlain trail tab) and the Mohawk Hudson links
