to fit in with the apparent theme of close-up shots, here's a recent photo of my Hetchins...




but I also wanted to share a page from the CONI manual. I was paging through it yesterday, and this page of unsuccessful designs caught my attention. Amusing, but I imagine that there are enough ideas that didn't succeed to fill a thread all by themselves.



The bike with the father and kids strikes me as the best of the poor ideas on the page. It does make a person appreciate how well executed modern cargo bikes and bakfeits are.

for years I have essentially ignored Bianchi's. I could never decide if I liked Celeste or not. As I spent more time on BF C&V, I became attracted to them. Overwhelmed with the models and differences from year to year, it was difficult to decide which one to get. As I watched, prices escalated, then this one showed up from the great north. Nearly every bike I have has "heavy" Patina. A characteristic heavily influencing price. I bit. With an integrated HS and Celeste, it is definitely C&V to me. Not much info on this era of this bike on the web Nearly every part on this bike is C&V, just not cable housing or binder bolt

The other truly C&V bikes that are ridable with period correct (+- 5years) are the Colnago, and Bottecchia. The Colnago is the first, chronologically after the lose of the Le Champion.
