Just refurbed this old Claud Butler. Went with tubulars, Schwalbe One, oh my they have a nice ride. Took it out on its maiden voyage a couple days ago and my riding buddy remarked, "Your bike is so quiet". It really is. And everything seems "tight ". Some of the more unusual components... Zeus Criterium crankset, Huret Svelto derailleur, early GB stem, and my fave Wrights saddle which is a survivor from a '69 Raleigh Grand Prix.

Bought one of these new in 1990 I believe, loved the bike, put a lot of miles on it then moved to Mountain Bikes. I believe the Trek 1100 had "Oval" front chain rings.

My Trek 7.1 FX. It's my secondary ride. When the Trek Marlin is in the shop usually. It's faster but not as comfortable.

2012 Windsor TimeLine from BikesDirect that I had my local shop convert to three speeds with a Sturmey-Archer SRF3. Such a fun bike to ride! It’s running 46x18, so 52/69/92 GI. It’s ideal for NYC.

I am always wondering how to create a good chain-line with such conversions. I've got a Trek 650 I'd like to convert to Sturmey Archer 3-speed.

I've been riding my 1992 Trek 950 with Continental Winter Contact tires on the local trails. Those tires really help on snow and ice. The local trails are mainly clear but winter is not entirely gone. I like riding a vintage MTB when the roads are bad early in the year.

First with the Langster (from drops to bulls) then the Giant (to flats) and my back has thanked me ever since. I also removed the front shifter/derailleur and the large ring. Decided I didn't need all the gears anymore.....

This was during a three hour gravel race on my 2015 (2014?) Spesh CruX
And here's one of my older bikes. It's a Western Flyer custom rat. I can't remember what the chainguard is from. The headlight is from a Mustang GT. The wheels are Felt. It's currently in second place in an impromptu build-off contest for previous build-off bikes at RatRodBikes.com. I'll be selling this in the spring. I rarely ride it.

I'm thinking those are three different leather saddles? Which one do you like the best? After 30 years of various levels of pain I bit the fashion bullet and tried the Sella Anatomica and I now ride pain free on all my bikes. However, I'm always looking for something lighter and prettier. It appears that the second one might be a Berthoud and they have always interested me. Thanks!
