Addiction 2023.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The next KCB concert theme is patriotic music (is there anything more American than KCB?)

One of the songs is a medley of WWII-era tunes, including the following. I'll make it a long-distance dedication to you and rjones28

Better get the manager's home phone number, too, in case he has to come to the store and open up for you after hours.

I usually pack more than this on a charity ride with full feed tables every 15 miles. I hope I can last two days without a kitchen sink.

Sure it's not at the stem clamp? I've had that with Al bars. Try a dab of grease or CFRP assembly goo.

Do they have mated pairs of crystals there? Might want to make sure anything you get has been vortex charged as well.

Already one trip to HD. Minor stuttering and some chin scratching.

My Great Uncle Carl Biesecker played Tenor Sax in the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the late 30s. I don't know if he'd be on that disc, though.

Headed home from a morning in Austin. Too hot here. Hope to squeeze in a ride after I get home, otherwise this will be the first month in quite a while that I missed my goal, which is a modest 500 miles and 30,000 feet.

What, they couldn't manage a 50 degree day with 20 mph winds for you, so you'd feel at home?

It's only 90 today with an 8 mph wind - perfect ride day!

touché! The quickest way for me to end my complaining about California weather is to go almost anywhere else. I would have to ride at the middle of the night here. And then I’d probably get run over.
