Think I'm going to zwift today. Dumpster has been ordered for tomorrow. I have a closet door to rehang. That's going to be about it today, maybe some sorting.

Rode the ritchey today for an actual ride. Rides super smooth, quick acceleration, shifts clean. I think I am in love. Will probably make this my main bike once I had a little bit more confidence in the frame coupler . I would hate to be 50 miles away and that come apart, not that it should happen.
I might need to get a shorter stem for it, I feel like the reach might be a little long. My elbows weren’t locked straight but I didn’t have the bend that I do when I ride the C2. Also think I will swap saddles with Lily. It came with the WTB deva, but I think it’s a touch big for my non existence butt.
Took Lily onto some roads today and she handled the cars well. When she got on Centerville she took off. We were only on there for about a half mile but she was pushing 20 the whole time. She’s getting stronger, I also have secretly been raising her seat every ride. I will take some of the credit.

Toldja. The man just makes good bikes. Every time I ride mine, I think "If I'd stopped with just this bike, that would have been okay."
But don't tell Mrs. GeneJockey I said that!

The Red Black Rubber Nubs* have arrived. I will hold off on installing them in the brake pivot bolts until I have cabled, centered, and adjusted the brakes.
*(There was an episode of Pinky And The Brain where The Brain was building a huge tower to broadcast some hypnotic signal worldwide, but it required a Red Rubber Nub to insulate it so lightning wouldn't strike. The Red Rubber Nub wasn't in the package with the huge tower kit, but The Brain decided to build is anyway without the Red Rubber Nub. With predictable consequences)

I rode 17.5 miles in drizzle today. Started and finished in drizzle. Yep, I’m a HTFU guy.

My first impulse was to say that this is not always true, but then I couldn't think of an example to support that opinion.

It was windy again so 2 of us went to Eric's hood and rode out for pizza. Not as windy over there and the pizza was good but it was my turn to buy. Probably could have got him to buy again if I cried poverty but I didn't want to be that guy. Nice ride, 45ish miles, breezy in the 60s and not too much traffic. My friend has worked out a nice route or two out there.

Kind of how I feel. Wife made a comment today about how she hopes one day when we are at the trek store she can just surprise me with a brand new emonda. Repay me for when I bought her the domane. I told her the emonda would be nice, the madone would be nicer, but another Ritchey would be Nicest. Thinking along the lines of an Outback.
Chances of any of this happening slim to none.
