Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It might be worth checking out LordGun, too. I don't know about Conti, but I've bought a lot of tires from them in the last couple years - their shipping is expensive, but if you're buying in quantity, they can be tough to beat.

In my latest tire purchase, Lorgun was the cheapest I could find for Pirelli tubeless, even with shipping cost factored in. Delivery time was quicker than I expected, too.

Dang, I've been using a mixer with only one of the beaters in to stir up my peanut butter, but today I could smell the mixer motor starting to burn up . Guess I need to start chucking a beater into a drill from here on out.

I do that with my beater, too, but it seems to have a pretty robust motor - it's probably 15 years old now, with nary a complaint. If you do use your drill, be sure to have a good grip on the jar... I've heard that it could get messy... you know - from a friend.

I've used this mixer for years for this task, I think I might have poured off too much oil this time, so it was pretty thick. It always seems to runny if I leave all the oil in, so I pour a little bit out before mixing.

Oh yes, I've enjoyed the scenario wherein the jar gets away from me before.

Venus has been beating me up with her cone of shame, I had to tape the edges to minimize damage. She had surgery on her knee to repair a ruptured tendon. The hardest part is containing all the energy she wants to expend so the knee can heal. No more reckless running around for 8 weeks. She's tethered and she hates it.

If a jar is on the runny side, I just keep that one in the fridge.

My ex-GF is now even stronger than I am on the flats. I need to ride more. It was fun when we did some tours together because having her two a trailer in the hills/mountains was the only way I could keeper he behind/close to me. Her being 5' tall and 105 lbs. helps with the climbing.

PBK has a 2-pack of GP5000s (clincher, NOT TL) for $80 which is not too bad. But only for 25mm width. Free shipping will kick in if I get 4 of them. Hmmm......

Time for a new bag. What do you think of the color combo? I get things dirty easily so I avoid bright colors.

If you get the natural kind it separates. Oil floats to the top. I let it sit upside down for a while then us a butter knife to mix it. If you get Jif or similar you don't have to mix it.

New gig is really nice. I have shell shock from my last training department. It’s a new experience being treated like an adult with respect.

Real men just use a knife. Then put it in the fridge so it doesn't separate again. And you never pour off the oil, unless you want peanut cement.
