I'm 6'2" tall. I had wanted to test Rivendell's theory of riding a larger frame in an upright position without having to pay the price for a Rivendell. So I purchased the Serotta for a fantastic price. The original owner was my height. He told me he had bought it new after college. He had it set up for triathlon riding.
Seatpost measures 65cm. It's actually a very comfortable ride. Normally I ride a 60-62cm.

A couple of mine.
A basic Raleigh Pioneer, not top specification, but a very smooth comfortable ride.
Also a Kona Hoss conversion, still awaiting mudguards (fenders) and a rack. Set up for light trail use, added rigid cromo forks, slicks and a few other bits and pieces.

I don't have photos yet of a Schwinn S7 I bought yesterday at a local bike shop but when I take some I'll post them. I am very old and a newbie at this bike riding.
Someone had given him a car rack to give to someone that needed one and I was the lucky one to get it. Free sounded very good to me.
I have a mountain bike that I have been working on but I needed something a little easier to ride without bending over so much. It has a big seat and 7 speeds which I hope will be enough to ride the paved trails I plan on riding. If the weather is warm enough today, I'll give it a run at a local 4 mile paved greenway that follows a nearby river.

Thanks! The panniers were ordered from MEC last year and are MEC branded. They are a heavy cotton type material and seem to be very well made. At a sale price of $59 CDN they are much, much cheaper than Brooks and they look great on vintage bikes.

Ok, simple pleasures get me excited ... my previous picture post worked ... in any event, between my Surly Disc Trucker and Trek Domane, I'm all about comfort - speed is just not in the mix for me. Swapped out the stock saddles for the Brooks B17 ... for me, this was a case where the positive hype worked out to be true.

I started a new job on Monday, and I'm riding the 6-1/2 miles each way to work and back. Here it is locked up on campus this morning.
It's a 1974 Raleigh International. I bought it as a frame and fork and painted it by hand and built it up with new and used components. It has a dynamo front hub which powers the headlight and one of the tail lights. I'm running 32mm tires.

Two questions though: No fenders/mudguards? What do you do about splash/skunk-stripe?
On my bikes w/o fenders, I use a rear rack with a solid center section or deck and just leave the front alone.

I've been meaning to add fenders for a while. I just raised the rack this week, so that should be possible now. Skunk stripe is pretty nasty.
