Gazelle orange xtra innergy power assist

You can use a multimeter to check current is flowing from the battery, if that is working here is a useful site covering how to replace the controller, display, and pedal assist sensor on the bike with off the shelf components from Amazon for about 85 euros https://www.avdweb.nl/solar-bike/misc/gazelle-rebuild. Note because this gentleman decided to also replace the motor he had to open the casing of the new motor to replace a cable, but he says if you are reusing the original motor that isn't necessary. Talk to an ebike mechanic to establish exactly what parts you need before proceeding, or try asking the question on the Endless Sphere forum.

Before you buy a new kit, maybe look around your pedal at the pedal sensor. Make sure the magnet disk is still attached and close to the sensor. Make sure that the cable from the sensor is intact all the way to the controller.
And also check your brake levers to ensure that they are not drooping because of loose cables. That will activate the brake switches and prevent the motor from running,
Finally spin the front wheel backwards with the system power turned off. It should move with some resistance, but if it is really stiff, it would suggest a short circuit in the controller.

also read some other forum threads from folk who cite that link I posted, for example https://www.pedelecs.co.uk/forum/thr...73/post-513798
this U.K. pedelecs forum thread documents someone who also converted a gazelle innergy and it documents what color wires from the motor connect up to the kt controller wires.
