Addiction LXXVIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

ikr. It's a good thing that I had some back-up sensors for my sensors. Too bad I haven't been able to find an Android app that'll pair with the PM.

I used Ip Bike ANT+ when I had an Android phone. Worked good for recording data, never used it for navigation though. Connected to everything.

Maybe Strava is being mean because I dissed the new free version.

This just in: Bayer rocked with a $10 Billion penalty over the ubiquitous deadly poison Roundup.

You know what would work well for you? Some gently used Reynold's Assault SLGs.

If you do want to get some Zipps, wait for the new profiles to work through the lineup. Even if you don't want the new ones, it'll mean discounts on the previous gen.

But of course.

I just checked the shipping info - they're coming from the UK. Very weird. No mention of duties from DHL and they're offering drop-off without a signature, so I hope that I'm not on the hook for more. As previously mentioned, they did charge tax, but I wasn't sure if that meant anything with regard to duties.

Regardless of the wording or the logistics it’s a punitive action that hopefully will lead to safer products. Have any cyclists given any thought to how much of that crap you breathed in while cycling through corn or soy country?

I don't ride through corn or soy country. But I do have some I'm going to spray on weeds in the parking lot. Uh oh.

It’s back up but the upload from the app I use is poof. I did have my garmin 130 running so was able to upload most of the ride except the first 11 miles.

So it wasn’t a dream. It WAS a good ride.
