Dutch air pump head adaptor

Hi,

I know this is popular in Europe and in Japan. i never seen this in US. My pump comes with this clamp adaptor(see red arrow in pic below). Anybody used this clamp-type when they in Nederland or Japan? How well does this works on dunlop valve and low pressure tire?

My tire is the old 26"x1-3/8 size.

Here is a example of traditional Dutch pump head ...

it looks like an improvement over Shrader adn Presta.

I'm not sure a bunch of new tubes would be cheaper than getting the right pump head for what's already on your bike.

Spending a few dollars for tube is worth it if this is better and faster

My neighbor has a Dutch Bike. My Presta Pump worked fine on the valves.

Where I am in S E Asia, I bought a pump and a spare hose, for US$2.50 (different to the one in the picture). If the hose breaks after 3 months, and the pump breaks after 6 months, I wont cry. They are so cheap, there is no problem replacing them often.

Here is one on ebay. The price is in Australian dollars, and most of the real cost is shipping.

Bikes loaned to me in Africa commonly came with Dunlop valves and the Presta head of the pump I normally carry along worked fine on them. There is an item, though, that I carry specifically with those vents in mind, and these are the thin rubber tubes for repairing the Dunlop vents in my tube repair kit.
