Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hair thru bib tights

It was a bit cooler here over the weekend. So I was wearing bib tights. Was surprised to see all this hair coming the the tights. Is this a sign that they are cheap and wearing thin? Or is this normal. I suppose it doesn't matter. But I do start to look a bit like a gorilla.

Might be time for a bit of manscaping. Since I have never seen this phenomenon before, can’t say if the shorts are too worn or not.

I really hope you were wearing the bibs when you took the picture. If not, they're way overdue for a run through the washing machine.

funny, seems this is the time of year when I think about shaving the legs more so than the summer, just for this reason (and applying embro is easier)

I too wonder whether the surface depicted in the photograph is supposed to be the interior or exterior fabric of the aforementioned bibs. If the latter, at least the OP has not claimed some sort of vortex inducing aerodynamic advantage.

Yeah those non-shorts need replacing.

Meanwhile you blokes need to give the OP some respect, he's one of the founding members of this forum, having joined in 2000. Many of you were just pups when he began contributing here. Pups, I tell you.

At least his guads appear to be massive. It's not really noticeable from a regular distance. The way he was describing it, I thought it would be chia pet level.

I wonder if other unshaven riders will be checking their legs for fur poking through. Similar to the old joke about hair growing in your palms.

If you have massive “guads”, see your doctor immediately. It will make riding far more comfortable.
