Speaking of tall....

...also Suntour barcons and Superbe RD. But if you need a frame this big that's all just details, right?

That's one that was posted in the "Sale" subforum by one of our own: TheThinMan. It's the same asking price even tho now thrown out to the general public. A great deal for somebody it would fit, IMHO.
Here's the C&V post, FYI

Thank you for posting. Interesting bike.

I am no expert about GT Saturn team bikes but I read a little bit up about this bike and the history about the Saturn racing team.

It seems there were the team bikes but also a very similar looking promotion bikes handed out by Saturn dealers. These promotion bikes were of lesser quality and had for example TIG welding and a steel fork instead of a carbon fork.

The welding in the picture looks like TIG and also the position of the Reynolds and Saturn sticker is different (which could of course have changed over the years on team bikes too).

Does anyone has more information about the team bike and how to distinguish it from the promotion bike?

Not sure what's going on with this ad???

Is it all shown for $295? Is $295 for one? Is $295 a random number?

Interesting lug work on right hand bike.

Only way they are 24 inch frames is if they went through a compactor

I have been on the lookout for one of these, but too far away for me. I worked for Saturn for 15 years and do not recall any promotional bikes being given out. I would definitely have one. I did carry the jerseys, shorts and cycling caps at my dealer. Here is a forum entry with a similar bike.

For some unknown reason. Lore maybe? I've always found it a bit of a head scratcher. If Sheldon Brown hadn't mentioned it I suspect it would be no more valuable than the other top tier Japanese touring bikes of the era.

It is truly bike-buying season here in NYC--but I have a feeling this was sold long before I sent my email, if it's even legit in the first place.

Got a 91' and $600 wouldn't be of interest. Hard to find great condition Japanese made touring bikes.

I only ever saw one of the those but I thought it was the nicest looking Cannondale and the only one I might consider owning. Oddly the one I saw we took the Athena off of it and put DA on it for the shop owner and bland red 58 frame got the Athena group.
