Addiction 2022.2

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

While chatting with my optometrist, on WhatsApp, she mentioned that Costco glasses might just come pre-coated with blue blocking film. This after I mentioned that I am seeing better through my old glasses than my new. My old ones being from Costco, I switched over to them full time, and have none of the vision issues I had with the others. My screen time can thus pick up again.

That’s what the risk managers tell docs all day and I think they’ve gotten better over the years. The influx of women has also helped some.

Evening eating activity: vegetarian version of a dumb dumb land specialty—spaghetti, chili, cheese.

I haven’t ridden since Thursday. Too busy with the yard work.

All the mulch is done, redid my fire pit. Just have the rest of the stone to put down.

Looks great, but imo riding>>yardwork.

My recent oncologist appointment went like this:

"Well, Dennis, you look great but your tests raise some questions. What do you think we should do?"

Well, since my medical degree came from watching the Discovery Channel in the '80s...

Our clothes washer is kinda like a Saturn. It’s about 30 years old and works ok, but the spiral gizmo on the agitator does not work right anymore so the clothes don’t really circulate much and the cleaning is adequate but not ideal.

Mrs datlas wants a 21st century front loading stainless steel LG washer. I may have to concede.

Hate ours. All sorts of problems with our "state of the art" LG washer and dryer.

Wife would like a top load washer without agitator.
