Addiction 2022.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I do want to hit the Hiwawatha. Hadn't thought much about the Olympian, but I should hit that too, having never ridden a bicycle in MT.

I hit the Palouse to Cascades (and a couple of other trails) from Seattle to Ellensburg a few years ago, looking forward to doing the rest now that bridges are being fixed up. I read about some guys who did it the hard way, and thought about doing that. including planning on crossing the Columbia at Vantage on I-90 at the least-trafficked moment (like 4am on a tuesday?)

I think I'll ride on 3.0" tires, figuring the soft sandy parts around the Yakima Training Range are still as soft and sandy as they were a couple of years ago, and not wanting to ride road much.

Ha! I believe the gray area is the part of the US where the window meets Energy Star standards.

Completely friken normal ride tonight. I don't get it. What was different tonight? I have no idea. I was waiting for things to go askew the whole ride, nothing.
Good ride too, I did an extra .5 hour on my own afterwards. 30ish miles and 1800ft of climbing. Set Mt 2 best times on the whole Lotta lava Kom. My legs are smoked.

No. There’s usually another cabinet there, back to back with the other one with a skin over the end.

The problem with collections of any kind is that surviving spouses or heirs don’t share the same passion as the collector and everything gets liquidated, often below value.
