Willeo Road Bridge Roswell, GA - Replacement & Road Closure
The Willeo Road Bridge that is at the traffic circle at the intersection of Lower Roswell Road, Willeo Road, & Timber Ridge Road will be closed for an estimated 4 months to replace the bridge. The new bridge will be wider, and have traffic, pedestrian, & bike lanes.
According to Cobb DOT the work is scheduled to begin this month (Feb 2021), with the actual bridge closure in April/May. Signs will be posted several weeks prior to closure.
The Cobb County DOT link has additional info on the project, including the proposed detour via Timber Ridge Rd to Roswell Rd to Willeo Rd., not really a bike friendly route. There are really not other route detour options if you are planning to ride the popular Cobb/Roswell (Lower Roswell / Willeo / Azalea / Riverside) route. So be aware, be safe, and plan accordingly for the actual road closure later this spring.

As of June 1st, the bridge at Willeo Rd. is now closed and you will need to use the detour.
Scheduled to re-open around September 29th.
