looking a bit closer at the ends of the drops I first thought it was just the tape job, but looking a bit closer it really looks like rough/unfinished carbon... possibly they added some length to them and didn't clean it up/cover it.

There was someone on here who posted about the Revos complaining that the drops were too short and he had no room for his pinkies.

It does look like those have an extension of some sort.

I'm almost positive that they built the extensions onto the bars, because the bar ends are sealed akin to the Alpina sprint ones, so my guess is they either opened that bit up and plugged it with a longer extension, or laid carbon over the entire thing and just lengthened the ends.
