PSA - ATL/Cobb Co. Columns Drive parking

The parking lot for Columns Drive at the running trail has some work being done.
There is no signage as to what the work is or how long this may go on. Maybe repairs from all the rain & flooding, maybe expansion...don't really know?
There are barriers that block about 25 or more parking spaces. At popular times cars are backing up on Columns Drive waiting for a spot to park.
For folks bicycling it might work out better to park at the Johnson's Ferry end of Columns Drive. There is a lot of parking there at the Chattahoochee River Park Facility.
Be careful crossing Johnson's Ferry Road....cars come flying by pretty fast from both directions!

Update-
The Chattahoochee River Park parking lot at the Johnson's Ferry end of Columns Drive is now totally closed, this includes the "outer" lot that has been open since the National Parks were closed due to the COVID virus.
The entrance is blocked off with cones & concrete barriers.
