Actually a mixed group on the bike,
French: Mavic 851 SSC derailleurs and retrofridtion shifters, Sedis narrow chain, Look Keo Classic pedals (Having a French Mavic derailleurs and shifters on an Alan Carbonio isn't so far fetched, as "Lucho" Herrera of team Cafe Columbia raced a Carbonio in the TDF with a full Mavic SSC group on it in the 80's).
Swiss: Edco Competition BB and crankset, Weinmann Delta brakeset
Italian: Gipiemme aero seatpost, Miche Primato needle bearing headset, ITM Europa bars and clamshell type stem (don't know the model name). Regina CX 7 speed FW. Campagnolo Record SF hubs, Selle Italia Turbo perforated saddle.
Japan: Hoshi bladed SS spokes
US: Blackburn race bottle cage.
Don't know what the aero arrowhead section rims are, but they could be mid 80's Mavic or Wolber tubular rims of some sort. The custom wheel builder removed the labels on the rims when he built them, I suspect, in the mid to late 80's.
Despite the melange of components, surprisingly, it was the quickest build I have ever done as everything just kinda went together really easy and they all work together really nice on the bike. The bike rides so quiet that it's almost feels eery sometimes.

Sheesh guys I didn't say I would change the fork (but I could) just that a carbon fork would look more at home on this frame than most others..

Hey, I recognise some of those roads! Really sorry I missed your message yesterday - and seeing the bike in the flesh. (I have this HUGE Chinese smartphone these days that I get tired of lugging around all day - kinda doesn't work that way, does it? ). I trust Dochters treated you well.

I like the bike. Since Chombi's Lineseeker landed in this forum I've become aware of the sort of 'techno-elegance' of these lugged CF bikes. Maybe I should ride my recently acquired Cadex 980C to Amsterdam so we can compare notes. (If only on certain daughters)

That Dochters place was a safe haven, for the time being . I have had worse espressos and on the patio I met a lovely couple who were on a two week bike tour with Ortlieb-hung touringbikes. Also a hint of C&V showed when a 1920's Bentley drove past. Nice place

btw Having a huge Phone is totally in accordance to the C&V lifestyle

With a kerb weight of two tons those Bentleys can hardly be called a 'hint'

Those phones are way cool! If they could handle GSM I'd have one. It would go nicely with my Psion!

That's a sweet bike! Congrats! And the pics of the Holland countryside made me think of the vacation I took there about 7 years ago - loved it! Such a beautiful country and I'm sure even more so on a bike.

It seems a lot of US BF members have been to the Netherlands. Does the bike-lover come to Holland or does Holland make people fall in love with bikes and cycling?
