My Peugeot PY10FC Grail Bike Build is finally done! Pics!
Took about a year and 1 month to complete the bike because of a few technical challenges and mostly build budget limitations over the year and so many decision that had to be made on what components to use to build the bike, but after one last big push to get (and modify) some small missing items, here it finally is....

Basically a Tout French, mid 80's build, using Stronglight Delta, Simplex/Spidel. Sedis, Maillard, Atax, Philippe and Bador (BB) components with Wolber tubular rims with Schwalbe Milano tubs. Only Italian items are the bar tape and the Selle Italia Turbo Perforated saddle. Certainly not exactly how most PY10FCs were built with at the factory, but I think the Stronglight Delta components brings the bike to a slightly more advanced component grade and slightly more modern aesthetics that seems to address better the then latest CF frame construction of the bike by Peugeot.
I still need to get Look Keo (Max or Classic) pedals for riding the bike as the installed Stronglight PR300 Delta series pedals are just too rare/unobtanium to use for regular rides.
I'll give it a quick test ride this afternoon to see how everything works and how the bike rides.
So glad to finally finish this one, so maybe I can go and focus on also finishing my Medici Aerodynamic Project that had to go on mothballs so I can work on this one.....

This would still be a grail bike for me. I remember fondly wanting one so badly as a teenager when I saw it in the LBS. Congratulations it's a fantastic looking bike!

Thank you very much everyone, for the compliments on the bike!
It really makes the builds so much more rewarding when one finds out that others in the forum also love the same bikes that one does!
I did not get to go for a test ride on it yesterday as I planned to because of something late that came up that kept me away from riding it, but I will surely get to do so next weekend when I will also have the new Look Keo pedals for it, so I can take a longer ride and I will report on how it goes........

That bike couldn't be more perfect.
Compared to the Peugeot PY10FC ad, your bike looks more purposeful, less spindly, more ready for battle. I can't quite put my finger on it, but the crank makes a big difference to the looks.
Please tell us how she rides!
The first CF bike to be widely used in the Tour, I think. It's a historically significant model. Congratulations!

I have to say that this personal grail would never had come to being for me without you,.....being that the frameset was yours before it was mine!
So many many thanks from the bottom of my C&V beating heart for helping me make my decades much awaited dream bike come true!! One really meets the best people in this forum!

Looking forward to the ride report as well. It'll be interesting to hear how it compares to your Vitus, Alan, and Lineseeker.
Now we need a group shot of your vintage carbon collection!
A couple very minor quibbles: Looks like a tad bit of length can come out of the rear brake cable housing. Also, something about the black bar end plugs doesn't quite look right, at least to my eyes. Are those what came with the Cinelli cork tape? I wish Cinelli still supplied the "chromed" bar end plugs with their tape.

Very nice, and soooo clean. I'm anxious for the ride report, so I can't imagine how you must feel at this point. It really does look like a bike you just want to get on and shatter all your old best times with.
