I'm not sure yet. I'll obviously strip and clean it, then IDK I'd like to see if I could find a bike shop that could stretch the rear fork to fit a ten speed cassette so I can fit it with Chorus.
I'd really like to ID it though.

You have a really nice frame. As to what it is worth, who knows these days? It is a Futura Leggero model, I believe.
I'd set it up as a road bike and try it out, if it fits. The frame is likely a better riding frame than any you have listed in your profile.

I need to update my profile (will do today) because my main rider these days is a ‘92 Eddy Merckx Corsa (SL/ Dura Ace).
I agree that I’ll keep it, I’m too excited about the find to sell it off, but I wanted to know how much it’s worth more to make myself feel good about the find 😂

interesting, I had also guessed that it is a Futura Leggero. I was told by a knowledgeable friend that the fork is likely not the original because the color scheme doesn’t make sense.

That will be a great riding frame. Also agree the fork color looks out of place, although you are lucky it looks like the right fork type for the frame.
Do you have a picture of the underside of the bottom bracket? I wonder if stamping is related to year. Something like xxMy? Where xx is size, and the y could be year. Just speculating.

I won't even suggest a price this one is just great you should keep it and enjoy. The current setup while not my choice is fairly good so myself I would just change the height bit to fit and ride. Nice bikes are meant to be road not rebuilt into different bikes, stripped or flipped.

agree this kind of find is too fun to flip- you’ll never get us much joy out of the few hundred bucks as you would out of the bike

^This. I had a Bianchi with EL OS go through my hands but was too small. Some day. If the frame fits build it the way you like without regard to what it's worth or the price of the parts and enjoy.

Beautiful, I bet that paint job looks awesome out in the sun.
What do you call that kind of fork? It looks like a unicrown, but the crown has sort of a lug, as though the fork legs were brazed in (not bent from one piece of tubing) and it's just an "aero" crown. I'm confused as to how those are constructed. Both Mondonicos have that same type of fork, it appears.

Wow this is inspiring. What are the wheels? and I'm curious, does the BB look like the pic I posted of mine? From what I can tell our frame are very similar. Mine doesnt have the pantograph on the seat tube, and I have no pump peg.

There is a catch here and I want to see how bad you all think it is. The fork/headset has a slight click to it. It's dead center, so probably from a light head on collision? I can't find any damage what-so-ever in the frame, so it's not a serious issue I hope, but the click definitely indicates that something happened. It turns fairly smoothly, it's a subtle click.
