1983 miyata pro?
I have a line on a 83 miyata pro. It's got low miles. From the pics ive seen it looks to be a excellent shape. The seller wants 250 for it. It's full syperbe. The lugs look exactly the same as my 81 1000. I'm in love with the 1000 but in need of a faster ride to hang with my uncle and his friends on their carbon and aluminum. It takes so much more energy to try to ride fast with the 1000s geometry. $250 is this a deal or should I offer him less once I see the actual condition. I've scene the eBay prices for teams and pros but what are the real world values of them. I don't have any pics yet as the seller doesn't have a computer. He's an old fella who rides by every now and then and he showed me some polaroids

Without pics, I would not come up with a value. But a Pro Miyata for $250 is a DEAL. For nicer bikes, ebay values are real world. Ebay is rapidly becoming the arbiter of value on higher end stuff.
And the bike sounds like it is EXACTLY what you are looking for, I would be in my car driving right now. Assuming it is in good overall condition, would offer him FULL asking price and be very pleased with the bargain.
I really like the higher end Suntour components, and a Superbe bike of this vintage would be very enticing.
