Well, it has Suntour ratcheting down tube shifters. The rear derailleur looks like a Suntour VX or similar. Miyata made nice bikes but 300 is really high for this one.

I guess it depends on the market - Miyata has a following, and tend to go quickly (at least during peak season).
I sold a lesser example for $225 this summer in an hour flat (though it did have new bar tape, tires, etc and a complete servicing).

If I was asking $300, I would hang up on an offer of $150. At the same time, I have sold Miyatas pretty far up the product line from that 310, for quite a bit less.
$300 for that bike in a regular market is ridiculous. But maybe he'll hook a fish. Or perhaps you are in one of those insane markets.

The only people who ride bicycles are homeless...... There are 600+ homeless camps... one camp produced 100 tons of trash........
there is no market... unless your stealing bikes.....
