GCN going recumbent?

Notices
Recumbent What IS that thing?! Recumbents may be odd looking, but they have many advantages over a "wedgie" bicycle. Discuss the in's and out's recumbent lifestyle in the recumbent forum.

If you can find 20 more like that, I'd say you're onto something ...

So? They aren't going all out recumbent, but adding various styles that are not "proper" Diamond frame bikes. Open-minded in my thoughts.

Any extra publicity helps. I see a few older cyclists out here, and they are usually quite interested in my trike. Most will have a sit in it, and they get the point of being able to ride without risk of falling. Getting the word out to the younger crowd can’t hurt either.

In the "weird wacky and wonderful..." video, he races on a NoCom and even wins his heat.

Yeah, not bad at all for someone who hasn't yet developed recumbent legs.

It's not like he has no legs at all, IIRC he was a pro for a few years.Going up against the typical crowd of gray-beards riding trikes and touring bents, it's not surprising he'd win. I'm a little surprised he didn't do better in the 'fast' race.

Looked like he had tough time "keeping his lines" in the "fast" race..
Enclosed 4-wheel used in the "fast" race seems to carry lots of excess weight.. maybe not as nimble as a 2-wheeler.

Maybe participating in two recumbent races in one day is a bit much.. even for an ex-pro.
He did mention that he was "out the front" for too long in the first race.

The trouble I see happening with the GCN is eventually, they'll run out of subjects to talk about. Naturally, they'll have to add more content. Recumbents are almost a world in themselves. And GCN needs content.

Not GCN, but still interesting to see solar powered e-recumbents in action on video.

Not as long as there's new products.
