June or July 2017, first ride on the new-to-me road bike. Hadn't finished tweaking the bike to suit myself back then. I needed a lot of core work for flexibility.
March 2018. I think this was the day I tackled some tailwind assisted KOMs. Look pedals courtesy of Texaspandj. Had to settle for 2nd on my favorite 6 mile roller coaster segment. Then a friend took the KOM and bumped me down to 3rd.
New shorter stem, courtesy of RobbieTunes. Got in two rides last week before i was hit by a car while I was riding my Univega. Dislocated and fractured shoulder. Looking forward to riding again in a few weeks. I suppose I'll have time to finish that bar tape.

got some good pics this weekend at Alafia here in Tampa FL. Chubby, non-sponsored guy who casually rides blues and blacks with his GF.
Cruisers at dusk and sunset around the neighborhood and for relaxing.

Hiya,
Just joined from Victoira, BC.
Pulled my 1988 Kuahara Pro-Star out of mothballs and started riding again after 20+ years...
New shorts, Shoes, and shades for me. New(ish) rubber for the bike.
I would love to post a pic of my bike, but I need 10 posts before I can post a URL (img tags included)

Just back from a 20 miler through the streets of Queens. Beautiful August day in the city. Traffic was light and my speed was good, yay! That's my Basso Gap in the background, which is a bike that always pushes me to go faster.

Its 3 hours later than my post above where I said it was a beautiful day and things have gotten ominous. Heavy thunderstorms with a funnel like cloud, which unfortunately doesnt really show. We have been getting some crazy rain and storms lately, including a tornado here in Queens, which is very unusual for this normally steamy, dry time of year.
