26.4 seatpost.
I got this with the idea that the mixte, a motobecane super tourer would be flexible sizewise. It had no seat post when i bought the frameset. Some gentle reaming to 26.4 and alls well.

I put a Spurcycle Bell on my wife's daily rider. With all the social distancing requirements now, I think I'm going to have to get bells for a couple of my bikes. I have an old St Christopher Bell from the Box o' Crap on my Schwinn three-speed. Maybe I'll move it to my Frejus.

A pair of lightly-used 8-speed Campagnolo Mirage brifters. They looked decent (no plastic), and were priced reasonably. This generation is in the twilight zone, price-wise, and provides a cheap and cheerful way to brifterize an old bike ( 5 or 6-speed).

Exactly. I have a Spurcycle bell on my Rando bike which carries a bit further and longer but the E-ne sounds much nicer.
It's a very pleasant sounding bell that makes people aware you want to pass instead of tells them to sod off.
I went into the city centre to grab a few parts but I noticed I was really missing a bell on my bike as people are just oblivious to their surroundings at the moment.
So I grabbed one on the way out.
I think I will go and make a short video to show the difference between the E-ne, spurcycle and a classic Dutch Gazelle ding-dong bell.
EDIT:

I have a Crane Suzu bell which sounds very similar to yours but holds sustain a bit longer in my opinion, don't know though, hard to tell from a video, of courses.

Got a nice deal on some MKS pedals and clips. I got both sets for what one of the pedals cost new. One pedal had a nice hunk of gum stuck to it. Got them all cleaned up and ready to install.

Freehub for my Regina 7 speed freewheel, old one was definitely noisy and only one paw was engaging.
I'll put in some effort on rebuilding the old one sooner or later.

Cool video, the Koga bell and the no-name bell sound almost identical to me. The Spurcycle is surprisingly so high pitched, but the next one after that sounds even higher to me.
I have a Crane Suzu bell which sounds very similar to yours but holds sustain a bit longer in my opinion, don't know though, hard to tell from a video, of courses.

- Spurcycle is loudest and sustains on the longest.
- Then the ding-dong bell is the most noticable.
- The classic Gazelle and the Crane are a close third.
- Both the no-name and Pelago dome bells come closely after that in sound.
- And the Gazelle twist and the Koga bell are last compared to the others. They are not as loud and die out sooner.

I got a bunch of small stuff while I was in Portland, five sets of cork tape (all white), DA-7400 bottom bracket, IRD BQ-95 bottom bracket, Sampson Stratics pedals w/cleats, Campy steel toe clips, some ferrules for spiral Campy rear derailleur housing and a Sachs Maillard 13-30 7sp freewheel. I had already picked up the Campy cone wrenches from a CR contact in Chicago.

Not exactly exciting stuff, but “needed” none the less.
Lock ring tool and chain whips for a UG to HG hub body conversion. And a 5mm spacer to help fit a low stack DA headset to steerer tube that’d otherwise be too tall.
I told myself in mid March that I wouldn’t spend any money on bikes/parts during this Covid pandemic. I was going to hold off on building the Benotto. But 7 weeks and a couple hundred bucks later, I’m now only forty dollars shy of completing my shopping list, and ten greasy digits away from a new bike. This is the measure of my resolve and self discipline I suppose...

Some red toe straps to go with the new MKS pedals and clips for the Melton.
