So quirky, I buy it for that price (in CDN). Didn't Mossberg specialized in shot guns?

Reminds me of the ad I saw once for "12-sp Shotgun". Never did figure out if it was for a 12-ga shotgun or a 12-sp Shogun.

This may really belong in the straight, Are You Looking for One of These? area, dunno. Heck, a lot of people around here really like Raleighs. I like the price ($0) but it might be a tad big for me. And not sure I can trust a seller with a face like that.

Here's the copy:
****FREE****Tall bike made from two Raleigh frames. Needs some tlc. Probably some new tires and a chain soon. Other than that it rides like a dream.... A very tall dream.

Dude, you gotta sell it a little better than that!

Makes you wonder if this poor guy has gone through his whole life this way:

The dog ate my homework?
Sorry, honey, I had to work late?
The check is in the mail?

BTW, Why is everyone so down on velomobiles? They would be an awesome means of transportation if it didn't hurt so much to get run over.

Ad says it needs work. It needs a seat stay! This doesn't look safe.

It's for the reverse velodrome events, cause it's super good at right turns.

It's similar in concept to a Cannondale "lefty" fork. Someone should patent this idea, quick!

Hey, that's what the stickers on the frame claim that it is. Honest.

True. I've seen one of these in the wild. Whatever they are, they're NOT titanium, but the sticker says Titanium Boron Steel... it's been posted here before:
Read it & weep ;-)

If you looked hard enough (chemically), you'd find both TI and B in that steel.

All other steel as well, of course.

^^^^^ '72 Nova behind that "righty".

So evidently the Stumpy-tax even applies to Stumpy wannabees:

80’s specialized stumjumper - $320 (Madison)

(Oh, wait, it's actually a "Stumjumper" with RockHopper decals.)

I like that he kept the Flickstand on the top frame. Great attention to detail.

It's always interesting to see the tortured seat and handlebar positions the previous owner experimented with, before finally getting frustrated and deciding to sell the damned thing. No wonder they hated riding the bike ... with those adjustments.

I think this all the time. There needs to be more education about proper fit

Tomimaso road bike, 53cm, good shape! - $400

https://slo.craigslist.org/bik/d/pis...225084520.html

"Tomi-what now?" These Far East bike companies are really pushing the envelope trying to sound like expensive Italian brands. Here's another one:

https://gainesville.craigslist.org/b...222108423.html

How long until we start seeing Colnakos, Rene Hearses, Bottecchios for sale too?

Is it the manufacturer that is coming up the "close enough to fool 'em" names or the U.S. distributor. It is bad enough in the new retail market. In the used market, on Craigslist, et al. It can be a scammers dream, like the two bikes posted above. Maybe we can start a thread of brand names that are trying to look like established brand names.

But even the big names like Schwinn and Raleigh have done the same thing. Exhibit "A":
