Recognize this wheel?

Anyone? No marking on the hub. It's a velocity dyad a23 rim by the looks of things.

No I don't pay that much attention to bicycle wheel exotica, but I suppose if I went a decade without watching television and boasted about my self imposed abstinence from Amazon, Wal-Mart and McDonald I might place more importance on such subjects.

"What's the hub?"

I have no idea myself. I can only vaguely remember those types of hub from my early teens at the latest.

Edit to add:
Did some searching and it very much looks like a sort-of vintage "track hub" from Velocity themselves (the name on the rim, obviously):

The hub uses a press fit cartridge bearing. It's definetely a newer product. Maybe a "bulk" hub sold by some manufacturer like Formula.

It's a sealed bearing unit and looks like it would do the job. The q/r looks like a Miche, but the hub doesn't have the hourglass shape that Miche liked to copy from Campy. 2mm spokes x 40--I'd say it's more of a utility wheel, like a touring bike or tandem, etc.

Glad people more knowledgeable about these types of hubs came along!

Looks nothing like the Velocity hubs on the six Velocity wheels that I have.

Yes, which I would hardly call “exotica.”

With nothing to contribute, perhaps skipping over this thread would have been a better choice.

looks like a generic hub that's probably perfectly up to the task.

do you have something helpful to contribute to this discussion or did you just want to make sure we all know how awesome you are?
