WTB: ~54cm mid range bike with some clearance.
Friend has been looking for a vintage bike in her size. I've had no good luck locally for the past few weeks so I'm turning here.
Lugged steel frame, something upper entry level or mid range (alloy wheels and components being the big thing) and about 54cm (she is 5'7"). She'll have this thing up north in snow country so being able to fit fenders with at least 28's is ideal. Mixte frames are ok.
I've got no problem tearing down, cleaning, re-greasing etc but the more ready to go it is the better. I think yellow, orange and bright green were the only colors she didn't want.
Anyone have something?

This may be way outside of your scope, but maybe worth considering. I have a very nice Mt Fuji that is too small for me (I ride 58cm). It’s got a high quality, fully lugged frame. High quality components of its time, fully refurbished too.

While that Mt. Fuji would be fun and attractive for me if it were my size, it's definitely outside of the classic road bike look she's interested in. Sorry!

The only reason I’m parting with it is because I found a large Ridge Runner. It’s definitely fun.
