This is a great thread!!! The first fancy bicycles I ever saw were at Colley Avenue bike shop in Norfolk Va circa 1970 when I was 13. They had a green Gitane Tdf and red Super Corsa for sale. From then on all I could think of were bicycles and cycling.....until I met a girl.

Girls are great, but green Gitane Tdf's are FOREVER.

I've been thinking it would be a good plan to have a 23" mixte for the time when I can no longer swing a leg over my mens' framed road bikes. Peugeot and Gitane both made 'em in that size. Shortly after I vowed to find one I came across this 21" framed Gitane Grand Tour de Luxe in the local co-op's dumpster. I won't keep this one but continue to marvel how these things arrive when you least expect them.

Peugeot UO 10 late 70s

I just rebuilt this late 70s Peugeot UO 10. All the bearings have been overhauled, new cables, and the consumables have been replaced.
