I guess I can come in here now

I just turned 50 last month. Guess I qualify for old fart status. The sad thing is that I've already received my first piece of junk mail from AARP. Even sadder is the realization that I'm going to have to grow up one of these days.

I hear ya. In my head I'm not that old. Pretty soon I'm going to be eligible for the senior discounts.

I don't know that some of us ever grow up. We do occasionally realize the really stupid things we used to do when young.

We don't necessarily stop doing the stupid things, but we at least figure out how to do them safer.

Funny - when someone mentions 'joining' the 50+ Forum, it makes me think of the 50+ year old BFers I know who never post here.

Maybe the reputation precedes us.
Tho' what our reputation is - except middle+ age - escapes me.

Aging in not an option. Whether to grow up is very much an option! Just ask my wife. Been eligible here for 20 years, I don't wanna grow up, I'm a crazy old rider (I know it doesn't go like that, but you get the idea). Welcome to 50+

I remember when I turned 50. I had people in this group calling me "youngster" and I thought they were joking. As 50 is a loooong time in my rear view mirror, I know now that they were not joking.

Welcome to 50+, youngster.

I’m 53 and will turn 54 at the end of the year. Last time I checked I was 47! I’m half expecting to wake up tomorrow morning and find that it’s my 60 th Birthday 🎂

I thought the same thing yesterday when I was bragging to my grandson that I'm level 500 in the Apex Legends video game and talking smack to him because he likes Fortnite instead

There's nothing like Bicycling to keep us all young at heart! And healthier.

I just hope I'm still riding in my 80's, like a guy here does.

When you're 65 you'll think of 50 as young. If you make it to 80, I guess 65 will seem young.

You need to be careful making a copy. Parchment can easily jam the document feeder on a copier.

Now look here young man - talk like that will just get you absolutely nowhere. So enough of that!

Has anyone ever set up a poll on what people's "internal" age is? I've been 22 for quite some time now

Age is only a state of mind, but someone needs to talk to the body about that. Welcome to a more mature side of BF.
