I remember when 19 mph felt fast.
today was super humid, was in the zone but around mile 22 I had to keep stopping due to cars and it through off my game, never got it back.
Sweating and glasses= hard to see.

Thanks for asking. Here is the story:
It's not pleasant. She had a minor brain injury mid-April and got pretty much all better, but now has something called "Delayed Post Hypoxic Leukoencephalopathy" which is a worsening of brain function that hits several weeks after the initial brain injury.
She is very happy and comfortable but has trouble with getting dressed and doing other activities. She is spending the summer with us and getting outpatient rehab. They say the prognosis is reasonably good but progress will be very slow. She has been with us for about 3 weeks so far, and no major improvements yet. It's a strain at home, especially for mrs datlas, so we are looking into getting an aide/helper a few hours/day a few days/week to take some of the load off us.
We are hopeful that by the end of the summer she will be well enough to move back to her place in NJ, maybe with a little help there.

I paid $10.00 for my one quart crock pot on Amazon....I think the blocks of gulf wax actually cost me more than the pot. I also mix in a little parrafin oil (lamp oil) to soften the wax so it's not overly brittle and sticks to the metal better. I use ptfe also in my wax.

If you are around my age (56) and like films you might like "Brat: An 80s Story", by "Brat Pack" member Andrew McCarthy from "St. Elmo's Fire", "Pretty in Pink" and "Weekend at Bernie's", etc. He later went on to, among other things, direct 13 episodes of "Orange is the New Black." Good read.

I think that my bag of MSW was 20 bucks. I put half of it in the pot and I think that it'll last the rest of this year, which should be in the neighborhood of 10-12k miles, so we're looking at 20-24k miles per bag of MSW. I'm fine with that kind of value proposition and not having to track down the individual ingredients.

I have one brake on one bike where the pressure on the lever has to be super-high to get a quick alignment for wheel changes, hence the bungie. And yeah, one-side shimming is a good idea, which is may have been the point genejockey was making all along with the business cards. They are also guaranteed uncontaminated, unlike the gauge, which has to be cleaned assiduously. I have a lot of business cards, which I will never use for the intended purpose.
One trick I learned with my post mount calipers that works great is to lubricate the mounting surfaces around the adjustment/mounting screws and washers bolt heads etc.. That'll keep things from galling and introducing torque into things which pull / pushes things out of alignment. Then slowly increase tightening back and forth between bolts.

No, it's an overall brain function problem like people get from brain injury. It's complicated and there is no treatment other than time and therapy. It's supposed to get better, but no one can predict how much better and how soon. Sad.

I just have to ask, who here who has been Covid vaccinated has been magnetized and can stick keys to their foreheads?
'You can put a key on their forehead': Ohio doctor falsely claims Covid vaccines are magnetized (msn.com)
I keep trying to figure out how to do that because it would make it easy to carry my keys on a ride.
