Really wish it was my size or closer to it. Maybe someone has a big one to trade.

It is the nicest bottom of the line frame I think I have ever seen, lots of chrome, all good and in good shape, some crappy parts, Campy GT RD, tektro levers, etc., some good, Uni CP brakes and all the bits, plain, original chrome HS in good shape, Campy crappy/good/ok FD and shifters, cable guide, and not sure about the hubs, one Gnutti skewer but no markings on the hubs, seem to be ok matched set but..., rims are something ORO.
Minor update, levers are Uni so brakes complete and original, they were loose but don't seem cracked as they tightened up ok. Going to say the hubs are Gnutti as many were unmarked and these appear to be them, laced to Nisi Toro 27in. rims so assume wheels to be original too. 3ttt stem with the hole at the top in the back, bars are unmarked near the stem as far as I can tell. I put some MKS Sylvan quills and an Ideale 39 on it, gave it a wipe down to assess the grime, normal but not too bad and weighed it, 27.6 lbs., pretty heavy but as I said, this is a very nice frame for bottom of the barrel, good chrome, good brazing and ok parts for the time, whatever that was.

I'll get some better pics in the next couple of days after a little more cleaning and now that it is whole.

Not even close, yeah I know. I may strip some parts and/or try to find a trade for similar Torpado, Legnano, Atala, etc. in my size or closer to it. It's all there and will clean up very well. I am probably going to overhaul the whole thing so I can do a deep clean but we'll see. It is very cool IMO.

Someone is selling the first MTB I had ever bought in 1992, a Huffy Stone Mountain. The next year I upgraded to a Trek 8000 that cost exactly $1000.

I won't bother posting a link but $40 and it's yours

^^^^^^ reminds me of the bike that got me back into cycling. My son passed a very similar Huffy mtn bike up to me. It was heavy and free and good enough for a while. Rekindled my interests and it got a lot of miles under me but would not respond to maintanence (ex: those stamped steel calipers) so I started looking for real bicycles then........

The Huffy eventually went into "the tip" fully beat and worn out.

Anyone in the area willing to facilitate?

Lotus Legend - 47cm - $175

https://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/...334860922.html

Lotus Legend Road Bike for sale. 47cm - Ideal for shorter people.

Center-to-center measurements
18" seat tube
21.5" top tube

Campagnolo Omega rims
Campy hubs and skewers
7-spd BSC freewheel
Shimano 600 headset

Shimano brifters
Shimano 3x crank

Please note that the shifters are not the smoothest!! They work, but sometimes require a delicate touch to get them to engage. I've ridden with them like this for the past three years and rarely have any real issues.

Yeah, but not this one. I also got a couple crank bolts in the parts boxes which have 16mm flats. I think they might be what are on the bike as well. It doesn't appear to be Stronglight or Zeus. Does this look familiar to anyone?

There is a local bike for sale that appears to have this frame:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/25489150337...kAAOSwSIRgQs2f

The pictures for the actual bike are really bad, but it does have bar end shifters which caught my attention. Would that frame be a better bike or entry level?

El cheapo MTB day in Seattle apparently... I believe the spec on this was XC Comp which is great for the price (given how hard I've found it to get high end Suntour MTB parts)

Thanks for the info on Zeus bolts. I'm not sure I've ever seen one in the flesh. I believe you are correct about them being Stronglight bolts. I had to turn down a 16mm socket but the bolts came right out. I've only had one or two Stronglight cranks, but this is my recollection of what they look like.

So, the bike has a three-arm TA crank, Campy 68-SS spindle, Sugino cups, and Stronglight bolts. A real international effort on this one.

Looks like I misspoke. Some of them are marked "Zeus Patent," some are marked "Zeus Made in Spain," and some are marked "Zeus 2000 Made in Spain." But they're all clearly marked as "Zeus," at least.
