Where'd the close up photo thread go?

Don't I remember a fun photo thread asking for up close photos of bikes that wasn't just head badges? I searched all over BF even outside of C&V and couldn't find it so I'm calling this artsy

I love old bike details like the Raleigh R on the cotter pin nut

That's close but the one I'm thinking of wasn't specific to components or head badges, and I think it had posts from'19 or '20....but thanks ! Can't have too many photo threads

EDIT, after it started getting posts again and I looked through it, that is the one I was thinking of - It was longer ago than I remembered and I was searching on close, closeup, upclose, everything but "zoomed" . I'd be nice if the search function would allow more than one word

Definitely a high-quality ride. Nice clean construction too.

And yes, I appreciate the impressionist treatment in your previous image.

Shot on Arrival - My Pashley Path Racer at Work

The end of my morning commute. I always sit on this bench to cool off after the ride. This morning, I finally noticed the play of light on this scene.

Nice picture acm . What also got my interest is you must have shot the picture and completed the roll of film, developed the film on your own, printed it and then took a digital copy of it and posted it here. All in one day!

Do you have a darkroom and enlarger?

I know it is possible because I used to develop black and white film on my own back when film was the only way to take pictures.

Nice work all the way around. I also notice that your from Rochester. Does that have any influence on your use of film?

Thank you! I'm actually *very* new to photography, this being only the second roll I have shot. I was bracketing shots to test out the meter (hence the frame count in the corner)

I developed the roll at home, but I don't have access to a darkroom for printing; this was a direct scan of the negative. I haven't done any editing yet but I'm planning on learning the basics soon.

Being from Rochester definitely influenced my decision to use film, after all Kodak built (and uh, subsequently destroyed) my hometown.

I always learn something here. That is a great idea, shooting in film and then scanning the negative. I developed my own film back in the day, made contact prints but had to volunteer as a campus newspaper photographer or yearbook photographer to get access to a decent enlarger. With this technique, I don't need a darkroom, just a sink. Brilliant. Oh, and some way to transfer to digital.

575 @ f4.5, or How About a Haiku & Photography Thread?

.
..

This idea came to me during a ride on my favorite local loop yesterday. I was looking for a shot to post here, and stopped at a dappled patch of light on the trail.

The photo I shot below inspired it, or vice-versa; I'm not really sure. Anyway, it would look something like this:

Bike Life, Explained

.
.
.
we coast when we can

and we pedal when we must

someday, we'll get there
.
.
.
.

So, what do you say? Should I open another "artsy" thread here?

.
.
