You said real men don't shave their legs, so apparently you think men who do shave their legs belong to a third gender?

And btw, who the hell are you to determine whether leg shaving is or isn't sufficiently masculine? The thought of it is clearly disturbing you.

MANSCAPED

Have no issue weed whacking my overly hairy legs. If someone has a problem with it, it’s their problem. And I do eat quiche.

You're suggesting that a man shaving his legs doesn't look "manly". Isn't that just an aesthetic reason?

Male cyclists shaving their legs is not a 2021 thing.

Ok you leg-shavers, calm down and back off the attacks. This topic is not new and shaving opposition is not new. What IS new is the opportunity to beat somebody up because he doesn't think the same as you. Let's back off of that, thanks!

Lol - wut.

This is like a ref calling a foul on someone for pushing the guy that just elbowed them in the chin.

One side is hostile, one side is not. The hostile is not necessary.

No, I am not going to define 'hostile'. Let's just continue with the entertaining thread, please. Bueno.

You forgot it about; it makes you faster

Apparently some BF men are so turned on by the thought of another man shaving their legs that they have to VEHEMENTLY object when other men have a discussion about shaving their legs.

These fellas (while being slightly turned on) doth protest a bit too much...

Agree... I raced for 10 years, and the sole benefit was in the event of a crash. It was a pain, and I will forever appreciate Women that keep their legs shaved. Its thankless.

Definitely shave. Those 3 milliseconds you save could make all the difference.

And besides, the guys go crazy for it...

+1 I thought shaving the legs was so that a road rash would heal more quickly.

I recall when I was a swimming competitively in college our coach told us all to shave-down for a big meeting coming up. I had done it the year before, and, let's just say that men's legs aren't made for shaving...

Anyway, I asked the coach, "Hey coach, Mark Spitz won 7 gold medals and he had a full head of hair AND a mustache". He replied, "You aren't Mark Spitz so shave the legs".

Truth be told for years I shaved both sides of my knees just in case I caught a case of road rash. I didn't so I stopped. Now that I'm at the age where my hair is falling off my head and legs and growing in my nose and ears, I don't have much to worry about........

It conveys your commitment to the sport, looks both bad ass and sexy! That is reason enough. Do it and don't care what others say.
Also if I didn't shave or at least manscape I would have carpet legs.

Applying mineral based sunscreens to hairy parts is doable, but you have to apply more and it's pretty messy and grody feeling
I've been shaving my face before application and it's so much nicer, that I'm considering shaving other areas for the same benefit

the mineral sunscreen also washes off easier from hairless areas

That happens more than you think. The ref usually catches the 2nd part of the altercation. See if Billy D agrees. I got called for a foul once after a guy had just broke my nose clearing space with his elbows. Thankfully, we have instant replay.

After I heard the crunch, I got up and asked someone if it was bent. "Yes, pretty bad." So I ran to the bathroom and straightened it back with my hands before the swelling got too bad. Then I went back out and finished the game. This was back before any sign of blood sent a person to the bench.

While I was watching TV with the wife this weekend, I commented that there were currently 3 leg shaving threads going on BF and the 1st one was at 9 pages. I asked her if I should start shaving mine.

She said, "no."
I said, "but...but they're saying chicks dig it. They think it's sexy."
She leaned her head down, gave me that stern over the glasses look(you know the look) and said, "I don't think so."
Case closed at my house.

From my observations and personal experiences, it seems the opinion about what chicks dig, or not, ranges widely.
