Neat article on Eric Heiden; it also talks about his sister Beth. I went to grade school with them in Madison. The grade school had 2 skating rinks and we used them all winter. Beth would beat all the boys pretty badly speed skating and that was a big deal in grade school,

I probably saw that issue in 1980, and looked at that guy's face and thought, "I'll never end up looking like him". 40 years later, I find out i was wrong.
