Decent price for Covid era. You might see if you can get it for $520.

It is a fine frame but with little to no info it may be a decent deal or a crap deal. If it is running Sora probably a good pass and probably not original meaning some serious miles could have been put down on it leading to a lot of things. Plus it may not fit, you clearly haven't put butt on seat and test ridden so you don't know if it may or may not work.
The frame may well be worth a little money but Sora not so much. Lemonds are cool but nothing rare or some handbuilt wonder bike. Certainly not bad bikes in the least but not anything super special 853 is fine steel and if the frame is fully 853 than maybe it is worth a go but chances are like some bikes of that era and price point they are using some main tubes in 853 and maybe some cheaper single butted 4130 chromo to fill out the rest to save money but still get a little bling factor from that lovely Reynolds sticker. I am not entirely sure on the Nevada and at this point the cocktail I made earlier is doing its job quite nicely so I should probably be going to sleep soon. Key tip: Luxardo Maraschino Cherries are f'ing delicious wholly moly on a cannoli they really are way better than those crappy nuclear red ones and the syrup is nice.

The LeMond and Trek bikes of that era (LeMond was made by Trek), which I've had both of, have the worst paint quality in the history of bicycles. The paint is so thin it chips and peels if you breathe on it. If you can find one today in nice condition then you have a rare bike.

Without seeing the bike, no way would I pay that price for a Nevada City with Sora. The frame is a good one, with just the main triangle being 853 and the rest chromo. Sora components are fair, at best. Even if the bike is in really good shape, IMO, the price is still too high.

I wouldn't disagree with any of the negatives mentioned above. However, these are exceptional times with regard to bike supply. OP has been on a long and so far fruitless search for something to ride. This seems to be an actual bike at small money/Wally BSO price. IMO, OP should grab this one and get out on the road!

THERE IS ONE MORE BIKE POSTED 600$
1999 buenos aries original 105 components but price is firm
this Nevada city if everything fine I can offer him 400$ or max 450$
so still less 150/200$ then 1999 bike for 600$

utku1985 , the Buenos Aires looks like it has a nice wheel set and the 105 components are much better than the Sora, IMO. However, that frame looks like it has some real issues. The Nevada City looks like the frame and the components are in a lot better condition. There is not much difference in the 2 frames in regards to the materials and geometry. I think the NC is the better buy if you can get it for the $400-450. As posted above, at this point in time, bikes and bike equipment have gone up considerably in the past 1 1/2 years, especially good used stuff. This is all just opinion and some of the other posters have much more experience and knowledge than I.
I will add that I own 2 Lemond bikes with 853 steel main triangles, a Poprad and a Tourmalet. They are really good riding bikes. I cannot comment on the paint quality of the Tourmalet, 2001, as it was in really bad shape when I bought it. I stripped it down to bare metal, had it powder coated, and totally rebuilt it. The Poprad, 2002, the paint is still in really good shape. It had Sora components, but when I acquired it I switched it all out to Ultegra 6500 that I had on hand. Size wise, I am 5'8" with a 32" inseam. The 53cm Lemonds fit me very well. I had a 55cm 2003 Poprad. It was too big for me and I traded it for the one I have now.

Yeah they got better. I had a '97 Zurich and it peeled bad. I always wanted another one but never see one with the paint in good condition.

The yellow bike has some chips on the fork, but it looks like the blue bike may have a ding on the top tube. Wait much longer and you won't have a choice.
