Mid-80's Terry
Have a small, very well kept Terry (six-speed X two SIS, so assume mid-80's) Terry. Usual steel frame with Nitto bars and stem and decent components (procured for my granddaughter, but she doesn't like drop bars). Desirable or not? Thanks! (Photo forthcoming).

Sure. These are nice frames with small people proportions in mind. I fixed up a Solstice for missus bargainguy to use as a commuter. She loved it.
Is yours the 24" front / 700c rear wheel version, or the one with both wheels 26" or 650c?
If there's any drawback with these frames, it's needing to stock two different size tires & tubes with the 24/700 version. 650c tires & tubes can be more expensive because they're not necessarily a stock size. If they're both 26", not an issue.

Thanks BG and nice conversion; forgot to mention Shimano 105 components (including pedals with toe straps); front wheel 24" X 1" tire, rear looks like 27" X 1" tire (measured, but cant read). Frame appears 18" c to c. Possibly worth more parted out.

Thanks. Problematic part-out of just the frame with that 24" Presta valve front wheel, so if you do split it up, maybe sell the frame & wheels as a package. Otherwise it might be hard to find another quality 24" Presta valve front wheel to fit.

I guess 5'2" or so woman. My wife, 5'5" with pretty long legs won't fit. Can anyone estimate value?

Shimano 105, 6 speed SIS should place it 1987-1988. This sounds like one of the Japanese sourced frames. The serial number should provide confirmation on the source and year.

Thanks, T-Mar, and you're correct in that the frame was made in Japan. I guessed on the vintage based on a vague recollection of MTB systems from too long ago. Seems like a great bike for the right size lady even though it doesn't have the accouterments of today which, to me, are of questionable utility and won't be around in another 35 or so years while this bike could still be rolling along. JMO!

I'd say more like $250 - 300 all tuned up and ready to go. The Solstice sold for $250 minus bags & rack.
