recommend-me-a-crankset-replacement for SRAM APEX 1x

My Apex 1x crankset has stripped at the retaining bolt and won’t hold any longer, time for a replacement and upgrade after ~3000 miles. I’m 6’4” 270# and pretty hard on things that move…. I’m not a fan of SRAMS retaining bolt design. I do have a Shimano SLX (Boost) on my Mountain bike but this is my road (gravel, adventure) bike.

Looking for a better crankset/Bb combo. GXP bottom bracket hasn’t failed yet but it’s probably not far behind, might as well upgrade together.

Recommendations?

Yeah what is your title? Seriously this is bike forums not google!

I would probably go for GRX or White Industries G30 or something like that.

cant edit the dang title…. My bad.

thankxs for recommendations. I have been leaning Shimano as I like their SLX on my Other bike. I’ll check out White Industries too.

It was an odd way to do it but I am sure a mod can alter it.

Shimano makes fine stuff, I have an SLX cranks on my Timberjack and they are just fine and I have used various other Shimano cranks both road and mountain from (7400, 6800, 6600, M739 and probably some others I cannot remember) WI has a larger spindle and some really nice stuff.
