Jasper De Deyne and Oliver Knight, indeed, they own nice jerseys. Check this one from Gordon Tiemstra, very impressive too. world's smallest cycling museum

I don't really have a collection, but I've got a bit of an obsession with jerseys from the 70's, particularly if chain stitch embroidery is involved.
I bought this jersey last year, it is 100% wool made by Sergal of Italy. If my house was burning down I'd probably try to save it.
It is similar to a modern De Marchi product, and the internet tells me it's a replica of a Danish jersey worn by Eigil Sörensen in London, 1973: https://abici-italia.it/en/product/1...sleeve-jersey/
Mine is probably a deeper red, and is obviously short sleeved.
Now, the only international cycling race I can find that happened in London in 1973 is the Cyclocross World Championships held at Crystal Palace: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/se...g-News-The-70s
Unfortunately Eigil Sörenson isn't listed in the results - professional or amateur, which makes me wonder if he actually competed in the race: https://cyclocross24.com/race/8933/
As an aside, he was a DNF in the 1972 Munich Olympic Games road race.
There were other Danish riders in the 1973 amateur CX race, but the best result was Leif Jorgensen in 26th. Combining that with limited colour photography, I can't find any images of the red jersey with blue and white stripes - sure, I'm only really using a popular internet search engine.
There is a short B&W video of the race here:
(There's arguably some dudes at the back of the starting bunch that are wearing the jersey.)
It makes me wonder how De Marchi know what jersey Eigil supposedly wore, or perhaps they're just relying on some faded memories with the hope that nobody would do the research.
Then to circle back to my jersey, what was an Italian clothing company doing producing jerseys with Danish colours? Or is it purely a coincidence?
Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

I have about 100 or more jerseys in my 6-Day collection and decided to hang a few in the garage for kicks. I didn't like the way it turned out so I took them all down 2 days later.
I think 29 hanging here out of the 80 or so. I really need to find a space to hang them all. I only collect 6-Day Track jerseys ( a couple rare Keirin jerseys from Japan )

The most controversial team kit was that of the Colombian Women's team.
