One more week till BikeForums party in Naperville next Saturday. Who else is coming!

Hey ya'll,
I am throwing an UNOFFICIAL Bike Forums party. This is not sponsored by the site. However if you are a member here and are into vintage road bikes you are invited.
read below...also a link to a video invite on the bottom.

Who: Bikeforums.net members
What: A party and show to meet one another, geek out on vintage bikes.
Where: My Vintage road bike garage in Naperville Illinois
Why: Because it will be fun.
When: February 12th 2pm. till ????

There is a bike swap in St Charles IL. at the Kane County fairgrounds on Sunday the 13th. I thought it would be fun to have a party the night before.
Bring a bicycle to show if you would like. Bring some interesting vintage bike stuff to show if you would like.
If you bring a bicycle bring a way to stand it up! I dont have much wall space left. Plenty of room for bikes that have stands!
Come on Saturday, Stay at a hotel that night and go to the fairgrounds on Sunday for the swap! About 25 minutes from the garage.
You can leave your bicycle in my garage overnight if you would like to attend the show. I will be here for an hour after the show so you can pick up your bike/s
I will provide fine food and drinks for everyone. NO COST> This one is on me.
Please ask questions below or send a private message.
Private message me for RSVP... Please RSVP so I know how much food to bring etc. Limiting the attendance to 35 members.
Plenty of parking here.

Video invite.

I'm excited. I think my restoration will be nearly complete and I can bring it instead of my typical janky old crap. I don't want to ruin the vibe of the party with my heaps.

Wow, this is very nice of you. Looks like fun, and I wish I were local! My in-laws are actually about 20 minutes outside of Naperville, but they're not the ones who care about old bikes...

Janky old crap? I assume you will be selling the crap collection for cheap at the swap?

John,
If it weren't for the War Department having a birthday on the 13th, I'd be there it would be great to get together with you and make a trek up to Niles, Michigan to visit Doug at the same time. Perhaps at a later date this spring, Smiles, MH

Sadly, I won't make it. We will be celebrating my wife's birthday that weekend, so I will struggle enough to go to the swap, if I even can...

awww shucks, I would be there but... that's the same weekend of Bike the Blizzard. It's Back Alley Bikes', our local coop's, annual fundraiser. They've struggled with COVID so I'll be there to support.

For anyone in the Detroit-area (or beyond) who is not going to this really cool party, here's the link the Bike the Blizzard if you want to join, they'd love to have you:

Enjoy everyone!

Hey. Listen. I'd be very open to going there with you. Would you be willing to coordinate that? My schedule is fairly flexible. Come up with some optional days to go and make sure Doug is ok with it.

Thanks!!

Bike Forums C&V, bringing old bikes and riders together worldwide. Like many have said, come for the bikes, stay for the people.

Have fun guys, you've got me thinking about throwing my own sometime in the summer/fall.

Oregon is within driving distance. I would be up for that.
I have mapped it out to Naperville.... 1820 miles ONE way. Sorry, not gonna make it. I will have to be happy with YouTube vids.
