Mrs datlas loves word games. She gets angry if she does not get over 400 points on Scrabble. I mentioned wordle to her, she said she just started doing it this past week. She got today’s in 2 moves.

Sure! But if you're out-of-network, expect to pay a lot more.

I went out for a couple hours on the mtb. Wind was very strong and I almost got pushed over a couple times and had a little sand blown into my eyes. Decided to cut it short and it was a bit of work getting back. I talked with some people up there, one guy on a titanium singlespeed said he was doing a 100 mile race in Utah on his singlespeed. Sounds tough.
I took a couple pics but I turned back before the more scenic part. The wind was terrible up on that ridge.
This area is charred from a fire about a year ago. I didn't know if it would show. That's the Pacific out there.
Expensive houses in these hills.

Today was the shakedown cruise - 23 miles. I remembered why I kept the 7410 group on the Ritchey for so long - it's good s**t!
I'm realizing that Titanium really does 'ring' like a bell. Chain slap, shifting to smaller cogs, etc. just make it go *PING!* A really rough road makes it sound like a pinball machine. So I named it Pinball Wizard, or Wizard, for short.
The fit, with the Highway One bars and the STIs is great. Shifting from hoods or drops is easy, with no reach or twisting - the biggest problem with the First Generation Ergopower levers is shifting from the drops. The seocond biggest problem is they're UGLY!! Shimano spent a bit of time optimizing the ergonomics of the first STIs before they were introduced and you can feel it! The 7410 crankset has a nice narrow Q factor, so I don't feel 'duckfooted' like I did with the Racing T.
Overall, the bike is a joy now! I can't wait for tomorrow's long ride!

I live at the base of those mountains in the distance. You can see part of the valley which is home to 1.5 million people.

Actually, today’s workout was a slow “100k,”which would have taken about 2.5 hrs and I was doing fine at about 1:45 when 1. Apple Music radio stopped working and I had to pee and 3. I noticed I was putting out about 250W with no effort, which I quickly figured out was due to my tire going flat. So, I called it a day at 1:50 which, with my 15 min warmup, allowed be to claim 2 h.

Glasses repaired. In the past I've taken the wire out of a twist tie. This time I bought a meter of phone cable(a meter was the smallest piece I could buy). Cut and stripped one strand about 8" long. Wrapped it up and finished it with duct tape. The problem was that the screw got jammed and couldn't be removed from the top piece, but had stripped out of the bottom. Insert lens, insert screw into hole, squeeze while the one who can see wraps the wire. It'll hold till I can get some new frames.

And the back ought to hold for the two more nights it has to be in this bed. The chiropractor did good. 24 hours later I had no pain anywhere. Being a chiropractor, he wanted to do two more sessions. Instead I bought a bottle of Paracetamol/Naproxeno.
