No ride today due to a Nor'easter bringing high winds and heavy rain. We had some serious thunderstorms overnight. I was given the ok by my urologist to start kicking up the riding, This week was the most riding I have done this year, 145 miles.

Remiss in posting as I stare out at the wet streets and raining coming down, coming down.....

20 miles and about 800 feet. Cut my route short to avoid Seattle Center.

Another cut short day. 12 Miles and about 700 feet. Hit by some light shower and black skies to the northWET. Skipped Golden Gardens and headed south and east toward home with an interesting mix of winds.

got in 50 today. Weather was beautiful, fairly low humidity, and the high winds waited until the ride was over to pick up.

Cool 55 F today with a little misty wetness. But fenders on. Road for a leisurely 25 miles.

55 miles but only around 990 feet of elevation. Rode counter-clockwise around the South Bay Area from Palo Alto around and back across the Dumbarton Bridge. Super windy but tons of great gravel trails and about 20 miles of my ride was on gravel or dirt. I don't mind the wind as much when there aren't cars right next to me.

Didn’t know Dumbarton was rideable but then I haven’t lived in the Bay Area since 1977. Did they add a bike/ped lane or has it always been there. Used to live in Menlo Park and used to drive that bridge occasionally.

Yup, there is a bike lane. It's always got a bunch of debris including nails, screws, car parts, etc. When it's windy it's a grind but there is a concrete barrier between the cars and bike lane.

A new bridge was built and has been there since 1982

42 miles today. Was going to do my first 50 in a while, but I had my first flat 21 miles out. Second flat was a slow leaker, so I was able to stop and pump up a few times to make it home. 3 flats in the past 2 rides. I immediately ordered tires with more puncture protection when I got home. I was feeling great too.

Hurry up and get down to Sebring before it gets too hot!

This morning it was 65 degrees to start at 7am, 78 by 10 am finish.

https://ridewithgps.com/trips/89568336

And this afternoon it was 84 degrees for the 10 miles in the woods. Saw lots of deer, two otters catching fish, about 7 wild pigs, two big mamas and 5 babies, and 4 alligators. Must be a storm coming!

Peek a boo I see you!

As Mr Neighbors would say: "It was a beautiful day in the neighborhood!" and beyond.

About 29 miles and1,200 feet of climbing in a semi-loop from Greenlake neighborhood Seattle to Edmonds and back.

And another 10 with the wife in the woods. She used to ride road bikes with me 35 years ago but since raising 4 kids and moving to Florida she’ll only ride off road now, very scared of cars and the idiots that drive them!

Oh, and she likes looking at deer more than cars!
