ISO: Track frameset w/ 52cm top tube.
My friends have been bugging me to get on the track with them... so I'll start my search.
Top tube should be 52cm, no longer than 53cm. The closer to square that the frame is, the better it will fit me. My saddle height is 70cm.
It would be nice if it could take a front brake for when I'm not on the track, but it's probably not a deal breaker if it can't. Not looking for anything too pristine. Thanks!

Not a fan of Soma or any of the other overpriced mass-produced steel offerings. And I pay wholesale! Don't want to get into that discussion here but I'm looking for something older or more unique.

Good luck with the search. I only wish I was closer to a track to get mine on it.

I'd have to take the track certification classes first and the next session doesn't start till mid-June. They have bikes you can borrow for the classes, and I can't race till after that. So, I have a little time to find something.

No worries I guess I should have added "vintage" and "not in a hurry to purchase"

I remember my motorcycle classes, I already knew how to ride so I got to have two fun days riding around a course but learning the road rules. Miss those bikes.

There is this frame that is local to you in San Diego, not sure if it is the one being referred to above. But it's probably on the larger size of what you'd be looking for.

Interesting. We don't have that requirement here. You just need a license.

I just noticed you're in SD like I am. Although it's just passed, definitely be on the look out for the SD velodrome association's seasonal swap meets. I've seen alan carbonios and even a cinelli laser once.
I've been there religiously and the selection never fails to entertain all disciplines. Go early though, you'll be competing with not just one nationality!
Keeps your eyes peeled on craigslist too, I know too many people who have "scored" big on vintage track bikes that just happen to be their size. It definitely pays to search with basic terms and work your way through the crud.

Yes, I go to the swaps and I am searching locally. Just wanted to check in with C&V land.
So far just a few leads on modern bikes, which I'm not entirely opposed to, but I'm still looking.
