Does anyone know the relation between Hiko and Umezawa?

Hi this is my first thread. I was wondering if the there was any relation between njs brands Hiko and Umezawa. Hiko is currently on the njs certified brand list and Umezawa has disappeared. Early Hiko frames have mixed decals of Hiko and Umezawa. Now that the brand is more stabilized they use the decals Hiko.U with U probably signifying Umezawa. If anyone knows the details please share with us.

Prolly the best place to ask is NJS Export. As I suspect you know because of your timing in asking this question they just got in some nice looking Hiko frames. If you email Toshi or use the chat feature on their website you will likely get an answer.
please share with the class - I for one would be interested to know what you learn.

That is a good question, I know little about NJS so I couldn't answer but I do appreciate you came out with a truly interesting question. While looking it up I saw a lovely black Reynolds 853 frame from Hiko/Umezawa on a website: https://desireoven.top/index.php?mai...ducts_id=20793

I am guessing they are the same or very closely related but I would follow Bianchi pc s advice as they might know more. I wish I knew though that whole world is fascinating.
