Van Tuyl VT950 Titanio > Wittson

A few weeks ago I found this titanium ~'99 Van Tuyl and brought it home.
Got it from the original owner, who bought it at the Van Tuyl shop and brought it over to the U.S.
He was ready to go back to the Netherlands, and didn't want to take it back with him - so it ended up with me.
I think it was originally 10sp Chorus, but was ridden and he has swapped in mostly Dura-Ace components.
Researching the bike, I finally found an interview with Vidmantas “Vitas” Zukauskas that mentioned Van Tuyl.
https://wittson.com/custom-titanium-frame-builder
I sent photos to Wittson, and his son, Mindaugas, confirmed that Vitas had built the frame.

Van Tuyl VT950

Beautiful work

Good question! No embossing, logo on one side and a rubbed off ")R" on the other. I think I've seen the logo, but can't remember where.

That seatpost needs a thread of it's own.

How does the triple Dura Ace crank mesh with the Campagnolo long cage triple group?

It works "OK"
The previous owner had problems with the steep hills around his place, and he installed the DA triple and FD, and the Centaur RD.
Back shifts pretty well, but the front takes a LONG sweep of the shifter.
I have another bike with 10sp Chorus, and if it doesn't sell I'll strip it and re-Chorus the Van Tuyl.

I was amazed to find that a DA Triple crank was just an official TRIPLEIZER.

A little more info on the bike from Mindaugas Zukauskas, Framebuilder;

We are located in Klaipeda, Lithuania
The "Victoria" tubing is VSMPO Titan Scandinavia tubing.

I have seen that seatpost...the brand is escaping me...something like ACS maybe. Cool bike...don't know the builder well, but the welds look nice. Not too big on painting titanium, but it certainly looks sharp!

ACOR logo match!
Looks like it could be either aluminum or titanium
